Terms & Conditions

Version 1.3 · Effective 28 September 2026

These Terms govern your use of the Fixora app and website. Fixora is operated by AMR GLOBAL (CIPC Reg. No. 2026/434852/07), 249 Totius Road, Poortview, Roodepoort, Gauteng, 1724, South Africa. Contact: fixoraapp135@gmail.com.

By creating an account or using Fixora, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.

1. What Fixora is and who provides the service

Fixora is a South African home-services platform operated by AMR GLOBAL as its customer-facing booking brand. Through Fixora, customers book home services, request assessments, receive quotes and pay applicable fees through the platform. Services offered include plumbing, electrical work, installations (such as TV mounting, curtain rails and furniture assembly), handyman work, repairs and home maintenance, along with other home services listed in the app. Some services require an on-site assessment before a quote is issued.

When you book a service through Fixora, you contract directly with AMR GLOBAL for the delivery of that service.

Services are arranged, coordinated and performed by technicians and assessors working for or under AMR GLOBAL. AMR GLOBAL is responsible for the delivery of the services booked by the customer. Fixora is not merely an intermediary that introduces customers to independent providers, and the launch service is not provided by external companies or third-party contractors.

Fixora currently operates in Sandton, Bryanston & Fourways. We may change the service areas at any time.

2. Property damage and incidents

If you believe any property damage or service incident has occurred, please report it to Fixora / AMR GLOBAL as soon as reasonably possible, preferably with photographs and relevant details.

Technicians must report incidents through AMR GLOBAL's internal process. Technicians are not authorised to privately settle claims, admit liability, promise compensation, or make payments on behalf of AMR GLOBAL.

Nothing in this clause removes any rights the customer may have under applicable South African law.

3. Accounts

  • You must be 18 or older and provide accurate information.
  • You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for account activity.
  • Do not create duplicate accounts to misuse the platform.
  • We may suspend or close an account that breaches these Terms, is used fraudulently, or creates a safety risk.

4. Requesting services

  • Requests submitted through Fixora are requests, not confirmed appointments.
  • An assessment or booking is only confirmed once Fixora confirms it and you receive a confirmation from us. Selecting a preferred date and time does not confirm a booking.
  • We may decline or cancel a request where we cannot service the area, cannot meet the requested time, or where the work is outside what our technicians can safely do.

5. Assessments and the assessment fee

  • Some services require a physical assessment by a Fixora assessor.
  • The assessment fee is R250.
  • The fee covers the cost of arranging and conducting the physical assessment and preparing the resulting quote.
  • Assessment fee refunds are dealt with in the Cancellation & Refund Policy.

6. Quotes and pricing

  • Estimates produced from your answers or from AI-assisted photo analysis are indicative only.
  • The binding amount is the quote issued by Fixora after the assessment or scoping is complete.
  • All quote figures shown in the app, in the quotation email and in the quotation PDF come from the same Fixora record and reflect the amount payable, including any discount applied and the assessment fee where it applies.
  • A quote is valid for the period stated on the quote. Once a quote is accepted it cannot be re-quoted.
  • Additional work discovered on site that was not in the accepted quote may require a new or revised quote before it is carried out.

7. Payment

  • Online payments made through Fixora, including the R250 assessment fee, are processed through PayFast on PayFast's hosted payment page, once online payments are activated.
  • Payment details are entered on PayFast's payment page. Fixora does not receive or store your full card details or banking credentials.
  • Where the option is available, you may choose to pay online or to pay on arrival. Choosing pay on arrival means payment is collected by the Fixora technician at the appointment.
  • If an online payment fails or is cancelled, no amount is collected by Fixora for that attempt. You may try again or, where available, choose to pay on arrival. Cancellations and refunds are dealt with in the Cancellation & Refund Policy.
  • A payment confirmation or receipt is provided for a successful online payment, and the payment is reflected against your booking in the app.
  • Payment arrangements for accepted quotes will be communicated to you by Fixora.
  • Amounts payable are as stated on the quote.
  • AMR GLOBAL is not registered for VAT and does not charge VAT.

8. Your responsibilities as a customer

  • Give accurate address, access and property information.
  • Provide safe access to the property at the agreed time, and disclose known hazards.
  • You must provide reasonable access to the property and disclose known hazards or conditions that could affect safe service delivery. This does not remove any responsibility that AMR GLOBAL has under applicable South African law.
  • Ensure a responsible adult is present where the work requires it.
  • Secure or remove valuables and fragile items in the work area.
  • Tell us promptly if you are unhappy with the work.

9. Professionals, technicians, assessors and companies

  • Technicians and assessors work for or under AMR GLOBAL. They must provide accurate identity, skills and certification information, keep it up to date, and perform work with reasonable skill and care.
  • Technicians and assessors must comply with applicable laws and safety requirements, use the platform honestly, and must not solicit customers off-platform to avoid Fixora or misrepresent qualifications or work done.
  • Company profiles and external-company onboarding are deferred features and are not used to deliver launch services.
  • Earnings and payouts are recorded on the platform and paid according to the arrangement between AMR GLOBAL and the technician or assessor.

10. Content you upload

You keep ownership of the photos, notes, reviews and other content you upload. You grant Fixora a licence to store and use that content to operate the platform, deliver your service, prepare quotes and records, handle disputes and comply with the law. Do not upload content that is unlawful, offensive, or that you do not have the right to share.

11. AI-assisted features

Fixora uses AI to help analyse uploaded photos and assist with service identification and estimates. AI output is a support tool. AI does not make the final pricing decision and is not a substitute for a physical assessment. AI-generated estimates may be inaccurate.

12. Reviews and communications

Reviews and messages must be honest and lawful. We may remove content that is abusive, defamatory, misleading or that discloses another person's personal information.

13. Service standards and what we do not promise

We aim to deliver reliable, good-quality work. We do not promise specific response times, availability of any particular professional, or an outcome beyond what is set out in the accepted quote. Any warranty or guarantee that applies to a specific job will be stated in writing for that job.

14. Consumer rights

Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have under the Consumer Protection Act, 2008 or other South African law that cannot lawfully be excluded.

15. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, Fixora is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, or loss caused by inaccurate information you provided, by your failure to give access, or by circumstances beyond our reasonable control. Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability for a claim relating to a job is limited to the amount you paid to Fixora for that job.

16. Suspension and termination

You may stop using Fixora at any time and may delete your account in the app or by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate access where these Terms are breached, where there is fraud or a safety risk, or where we are required to by law. Amounts already due remain payable.

17. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. We will publish the updated version in the app and update the version and effective date above. Continuing to use Fixora after an update means you accept the updated Terms.

18. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Please contact us first at fixoraapp135@gmail.com so we can try to resolve a dispute directly. The South African courts have jurisdiction over any dispute.
