Version 1.3 · Effective 28 September 2026

Fixora is operated by AMR GLOBAL (CIPC Reg. No. 2026/434852/07) ("Fixora", "we", "us").

  • Registered address: 249 Totius Road, Poortview, Roodepoort, Gauteng, 1724, South Africa
  • Information Officer: Smangaliso Radebe
  • Privacy contact: fixoraapp135@gmail.com

Fixora currently operates in Sandton, Bryanston & Fourways, South Africa. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, store and protect personal information when you use the Fixora app and website, in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA).

1. Who this policy applies to

  • Customers who request assessments, quotes and home services.
  • Technicians and assessors who deliver services through Fixora.
  • Companies registered on Fixora and their invited members.
  • Visitors to the Fixora app or website.

2. Personal information we collect

Customers. Name, phone number, email address, suburb and profile photo. Service or home address and, where you allow it, precise location coordinates. Booking history, the answers you give in booking questions, notes and assessment preferences (preferred date, time window and contact preference). Job or property photos you upload. Digital signatures captured at job sign-off. Messages you send through the platform, reviews and comments. Complaints and dispute information. Quotes, invoices and payment records generated by Fixora.

Technicians and assessors. Identity documents submitted for verification, profile photos, skills, experience and bios, certifications and supporting documents, GPS and location data (live location while on an active job or dispatch, and location history), vehicle and vehicle-inspection information, and earnings and payout information recorded on the platform.

Companies. Company information and CIPC registration information, contact-person details, email address, phone number and address, service areas, compliance documents, and company member records and invitations (including invited members' email addresses).

Platform, security and communication data. Audit logs, including the acting user and IP address; email delivery logs and notification records; technical information generated when you use the app, such as requests and error information; and local storage on your device used to keep you signed in and to remember drafts, onboarding progress and app preferences.

We do not use third-party advertising or marketing tracking software.

3. Where we collect it from

Directly from you when you create an account, complete a booking or assessment request, upload photos, complete verification, communicate with us, or use app features that request permissions (location, camera/photos, notifications). We also generate information about you when you use Fixora, such as booking records, quotes, logs and notifications. Company administrators may provide information about their members.

4. Why we process personal information

  • To create and manage accounts and authenticate users.
  • To arrange, schedule, confirm and deliver assessments and services.
  • To prepare quotes, estimates, quotation PDFs and invoices.
  • To match customers with suitable professionals and to dispatch and route work.
  • To communicate with you by email, in-app messages and notifications.
  • To handle complaints, disputes and service quality issues.
  • To verify technicians and companies.
  • To prevent fraud and abuse, secure the platform and investigate security incidents.
  • To comply with legal, tax and regulatory obligations.
  • To improve Fixora's services and reliability.

Our lawful bases under POPIA include performance of a contract with you, our legitimate interests, compliance with legal obligations, and your consent where we ask for it (for example device permissions).

5. Location information

With your device permission, Fixora uses location information to identify the service address, route professionals and manage dispatch. Technician live location is used only while it is required for an active job or dispatch — Fixora does not track technicians continuously outside that. You can turn location permissions off in your device settings, but some features will then not work.

6. Photos and AI-assisted quoting

When you use Fixora's AI-assisted quoting feature, the job photos you upload and relevant answers you provide may be sent to our AI provider for image analysis and service/quote assistance. The AI output helps identify the service and produce an indicative estimate. AI does not make the final pricing decision. Final quotes are calculated by Fixora's own pricing logic and, where an assessment applies, are based on the assessor's completed assessment.

7. Job photos / customer property

As part of arranging, delivering and documenting a service, Fixora / AMR GLOBAL may collect photographs of the customer's property. These photographs may be used for legitimate service purposes such as assessing or understanding the job, preparing or validating a quote, documenting the condition of property before, during or after service, verifying work performed, and handling complaints, damage reports, disputes or insurance/legal matters where necessary.

Photographs are handled as part of Fixora's service records and are protected according to this Privacy Policy. Access is limited to people who need the photographs for legitimate business or service purposes. Photographs are not used for advertising, marketing or promotional purposes without appropriate customer consent, unless otherwise permitted by applicable law.

8. Third-party services we use

Supabase (via Lovable Cloud)Hosts our database, authentication and file storage, including photos, documents, signatures and quotation PDFs.
ResendSends transactional email such as request-received, assessment confirmation and quotation emails, and records delivery logs.
Lovable AI Gateway / Google Gemini 2.5 FlashProcesses uploaded photos and related answers for AI-assisted image analysis and quoting support.
CloudflareServes and protects the Fixora application, including network delivery and security filtering.
PayFastProcesses online payments made through Fixora when online payments are enabled, including the R250 assessment fee. Payment details are entered on PayFast's hosted payment page and handled by PayFast, not by Fixora.

These providers process personal information on our behalf, or as independent operators for the limited purpose described. Some of them process or store information outside South Africa; where that happens we rely on the transfer conditions permitted under section 72 of POPIA, including contractual protections with the provider and the need to perform our contract with you.

We may also share information with technicians, assessors or companies to the extent needed to deliver your booking, and with professional advisers, insurers or authorities where legally required. We do not sell personal information.

9. Payments

Online payments made through Fixora, including the R250 assessment fee, are processed through PayFast on PayFast's hosted payment page. Online payments are made available through PayFast once activated. Only the information reasonably required to process the payment is shared with PayFast, such as the amount, currency, the related Fixora reference and, where you provide it, contact details for the payment receipt.

Card numbers and banking credentials are entered on PayFast's payment page and are not received or stored by Fixora. Fixora records the payment status, reference, amount, method and date returned by PayFast, together with quote, invoice, assessment fee and payout information, for service and accounting purposes. PayFast processes payment information as a separate responsible party under its own terms and privacy policy.

11. Your rights under POPIA

Subject to the conditions in POPIA, you may:

  • ask what personal information we hold about you and request access to it;
  • ask us to correct or update inaccurate, misleading or outdated information;
  • ask us to delete or destroy personal information where we are legally permitted to;
  • object to processing in the circumstances allowed by POPIA;
  • withdraw consent where processing is based on consent (this does not affect processing already carried out);

12. Account deletion

You can delete your account from the app under Profile → Privacy & data → Delete my account, or by emailing fixoraapp135@gmail.com. When you delete your account we remove your sign-in identity and profile, and remove or de-identify your personal details. Records we must keep — such as booking, quote, invoice, financial, dispute and audit records — are retained for the periods in section 10, with your direct contact details removed and their use restricted to that purpose.

13. Children

Fixora is not intended for people under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will remove it where required.

14. Security

We use access controls, authentication, row-level database security, encrypted connections and restricted private storage for sensitive files such as identity documents, signatures and quotation PDFs. No system can be guaranteed completely secure, and we do not claim any external security certification.

15. Complaints

Please contact our Information Officer first at fixoraapp135@gmail.com. If you are not satisfied, you may complain to the Information Regulator (South Africa) at enquiries@inforegulator.org.za or complaints.IR@inforegulator.org.za.
